How to get the service for someone else

  • If you are calling about someone else, it is always best if you have checked with them that they are happy for you to do this, or that you have authority to do so.
  • If this is not possible or appropriate, you may be asked details of your involvement and can explain if you wish to remain anonymous.
  • Call on 0800 955 5011 & ask to speak to the duty referrals’ officer.
  • The referrals’ officer will take details from you about the person you are referring and their situation. They will ask you about the urgency of the need.
  • They will also ask questions to assess whether the person is eligible for a free service 
  • We will provide the person you are referring with an initial free interview to explain the services available. You could be present at this interview if the potential client feels it would be helpful.
  • Any charges for work will be explained and agreed beforehand. A client is free to cancel the service at any time.
